Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation, and the history of independence of Bangladesh are synonymous in all senses. Even after the formation of Pakistan, Sheikh Mujib and Bangladesh have flourished to the fullest through encountering many struggles and emergence. As a result, the history of the formation of Bangladesh as a state is inextricably linked with Bangabandhu, likewise, the history of the liberation movement and independence of Bangladesh is associated with Bangabandhu’s life. Through a long historical struggle and movement, the dream of emancipating the Bengali nation and their prolonged economic freedom has gradually come true in Bangabandhu’s thoughts.

Despite the lifelong oppression and obstacles, he emerged as the undisputed leader of Bangladesh from an ordinary Sheikh Mujib of Tungipara only because of his aspiration for the welfare of commoners from his student life and his constant involvement in achieving independence. The history of the transformation of Sheikh Mujib to ‘Bangabandhu’ is overlong and undividable. For this reason, the life sketch of Bangabandhu is not his lifeline only, it is also an enormous story of the exploitation and deprivation of the Bengali nation and their achievement of independence. Surprisingly, even after 50 years of independence, thousands of books have been written about the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, however, there is still in need for a complete encyclopedia about him. This book depicts versatile information about his personal and political life, his actions and ideals, the history of his prolonged struggle for the independence of Bangladesh, and the history of the Bengali liberation movement. Simultaneously, it will be an authentic portrayal of historical facts, photographs, and evidences.
